Medical Production Services

Take One develops award winning video and media products for the medical industry. Our expertise includes training, education, marketing media elements for all types of medical clients. Producing medical media is a highly skilled art form that requires specific experience with both writing and demonstrating complex skills. Our work includes elements in the following categories:
Clinical Skills and Assessments | Medical Devices | Clinical Trials and TV Commercials | Complex Concepts

Clinical Skills and Assessments

Teaching medical students how to perform skills and assessments is best done visually. Take One has been producing all levels of skills curriculum since 1996. We work with all major medical publishers, including Wolters Kluwer | Lippincott Williams and Wilkins, Department of Homeland Security, US Navy Medical, Elsevier. All of our clients have witnessed how easily the video medium is integrated into electronic textbooks and e-learning and some have become their bestselling digital education product. Beyond the production skills we bring a keen eye to clinical accuracy due to our vast experience.

We produced the renown Bates’ Visual Guide to Physical Examination for Wolters Kluwer | Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins. The Bates franchise represents the “gold standard” for students learning the art and science of the history and physical.

We invite you to also view samples of our additional work for Wolters Kluwer | Lippincott Williams and Wilkins : Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) and Taylor’s Video Guide to Clinical Nursing Skills.

Medical Devices

Medical device companies routinely rely on video to train technicians on use of the devices, for marketing purposes, and to educate the medical community on the device’s performance. In these samples, Take One produced work for several device manufacturers for use in product training and marketing. Many of our projects are also produced in several languages for international clientele. Often it is advantageous to include 2D or 3D animation to demonstrate how a product works in a true environment. Take One’s animators are experienced with all types of medical animation.

This example illustrates the French version of the Vapotherm Precision Flow in service video offered to train users on set up and use. Take One also produces marketing and educational material for Vapotherm, Inc. “Centers of Excellence” Program.

Clinical Trials and TV Commercials

Clinical trials rely on engaging appropriate participants first, then educating them on the trial and how it works. Advertising and marketing for medical schools, products, or facilities requires the ability to both understand the messaging and the audience. Our work with Johns Hopkins, Clinical Site Solutions, and others make use of this type medical production expertise.

Complex Concepts

Many medical training and education topics require the student to understand complex concepts, emotions, and ethical dilemmas. Take One has successfully produced several projects like this by integrating excellent writing, dramatic performances, and eye catching graphics to help put the student directly into a particular situation in order to teach them better decision making skills. Topics include a wide range of topics such as medical ethics for McGraw-Hill, sexual assault for the US Navy Medical Support Command (NMSC), autism caregiver training, bioterrorism training for the Department of Homeland Security and cancer research and support for fund raising.
