In our many edit suites, Dan Powell and his editorial staff apply decades of editing experience to all types of award-winning video projects: commercials, corporate image, sales, training, informational, and documentary. We assist clients with complex editing decisions, ensuring that the shot selection, pacing, graphics, audio, and effects mesh perfectly into seamless presentations.

Edit 1 features a fully loaded Avid Adrenaline DNxHD with popular effects and titling plug-ins such as Sapphire, Inscriber CG, Boris Red and After Effects. The Adrenaline has 2.5TB of storage and runs on the latest Dual-Core CPU with 4GB of RAM. This workstation provides the latest technology and speed in 720p and 1080i High Definition finishing. The suite also has an Abekas 8150/DVEOUS switcher for real-time color correction on ingest, and real-time chroma-keying.

Edit 2/4 is a component Targa2000 based Discreet Edit 6.0 system and Sonic DVD workstation. This edit suite is used for primarily as an intermediary codec work-station for files destine for the Web or CD-ROM. The suite is coupled with a Sonic SD-1000 serial digital MPEG2 encoder. This cinematic level encoder provides real-time encoding, so rendering bottlenecks for those mad rushes to FedEx can be avoided. For DVD authoring we employ industry standard application; Sonic Scenarist, DVDit6PRO and eDVD. To support the wide array of file formats, compression is performed by a wide array of tools, CleanerXL, Sorenson Squeeze, QuickTime Pro and Main Concepts. We're the areas leading service bureau for the creation of Flash Video, QuickTime, Windows Media Player, Real Media, and Pod Casting files.

Edit 3 features Discreet Edit 6.5 running with Pinnacle3000 hardware acceleration. This is an uncompressed SDI workstation. Most work done in this suite is 16x9, widescreen, SDTV. Lots of real-time performance enhances the creative process instead of getting bogged down in rendering - without compression artifacts. 1TB of storage allows for lots of long-form video, without kicking jobs off the system.

Edit 6 is an video and audio workstation which features Discreet Edit 6.0 plus the real-time power of an Abekas 3D board. For audio sweetening and radio spot production the suite is powered by ProTools, Acid, Sony Vegas and Sound Forge. For voice-over work our sound booth can be patched to any edit suite or via ISDN, or IP, for far flung clients, talent and producers. A Telos phone patch is also part of this suite.

Suite 5 is our machine room — the heart of the operation. Take One supports DVCPRO100 (HDTV), P2 (HDTV), HDV (Kinda HDTV), Digital Betacam, DVCPRO50, DVCAM, BetacamSP, MiniDV, SVHS, 3/4"SP and VHS. Our NAS server is equipped with an LTO backup robot with an 800 gigabyte capacity. Backups run at a whopping 60GB per hour, so you can protect your investment fast and safely. It's also here where we handle DVD, CD-R and VHS duplication.
