The full bodied 2/3" CCD block coupled with a Digital Drive Canon wide-angle lens exceeds the harsh look of the 1/3" CCD HDV cameras. HDTV is here. Future proof your media assets by shooting on HD now. The HDX-900 is similar to the Varicam in it's film-look and gamma features — at a much lower day-rate. In fact, our HDX package is only 20% higher for the day over standard definition on the SDX-900.
Panasonic AJ-SDX-900 16x9 Capable Package Panasonic AJ-SDX-900, a DVCPRO50 digital camera mated to a Canon 4.5mmX11 Digital Drive Lens with a widescreen 16x9 w/Panavision filters and matte box. Hollywood is embracing this same technology in order to contain costs. 24P technology is now being employed widely in all types of corporate, industrial, commercial, government, and non-profit video production, including political commercials and PSAs. Clients looking to stand out from the rest of the crowd are lining up to shoot in 24p.
Panasonic AG-HPX-170 Panasonic AG-HPX-170 P2 High Definition Camera The AG-HPX-170 P2HD camera is perfect for documentary, reality and 2nd unit applications. This camera shoots in all standard and high definition formats and multiple frame rates. The AG-HPX170 comes equipped with a variety of professional features usually unheard of for a camera in its class. Features include an HD-SDI output for shooting uncompressed footage directly to a deck or computer. Other functions include a waveform monitor, histogram, and vector scope. A 32GB card will record 32 minutes of the highest quality HDTV video, 88 minutes of 720p/24 frame video or over 2 hours of standard definition DVCPRO25/MiniDV video. The 13x zoom lens system features 13 lens elements in 10 groups, including three aspherical lenses. Panasonic has reduced the front lens element from 67mm on the AG-HVX200 to 53.2mm on the AG-HPX170. The use of low-dispersion glass reduces color aberration while a multi-coating process minimizes flare and ghosting.
