Take One produced two major video series for medical publishers LWW: the Bates Visual Guide to Physical Examination (18 modules, available on VHS or DVD), and Lippincott’s Video Series for Nursing Assistants (15 modules on DVD). The latter of the two also included a 20-minute video preface within which the author of the textbook, Pamela Carter, speaks directly to the nursing students on the importance of a humanistic approach to nursing.
Take One’s staff wrote, produced, and edited the videos, shooting them primarily on Take One’s soundstage using actual medical professionals and standardized patients, making for a very graphic, fully realistic presentation that has won accolades for its training effectiveness. Take One then designed and authored the DVD packages in-house, leading to an extremely successful release by LWW.
Take One is currently producing a third medical series, set for release in 2009.
