Lippincott Williams & Wilkins
Take One has a successful production relationship with medical publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. Two highly regarded products for the company began as video projects with Take One. LWW hired Take One to produce the physical assessment series “Bates’ Visual Guide to Physical Examination”. The 18 part series was written, directed, and entirely produced by Take One staff. The series was shot on the Take One sound stage with a custom set over the course of an entire year. The finished product crosses all media platforms and now includes a VHS video series, a DVD series with Take One designed menus, and several manifestations (by volume) as streaming media on the LWW Website. The streaming site navigation and menus are all Take One design and programming products.
LWW returned to Take One to produce its series “Lippincott’s Video Series for Nursing Assistants”. This 15 part series included scriptwriting, production, set-design, location shooting and post production services from Take One. The series involved shooting several days on location at a nursing home and then returning to the Take One stage, where our designer had matched the location set precisely, to shoot long and detailed scenes without disrupting the nursing home care. Each module made use of actors, real nurses, and an on camera host and narrator. The series was met with rave reviews and is one of the most highly regarded training pieces for certified nurse assistants. This product crossed all medial platforms and is delivered on DVD and on the Web as a streaming product. The Take One design team created and programmed all DVD and Web elements for this product.
