Be the Bear.
Join in on the state’s most successful single-day fundraiser – The MSP Polar Bear Plunge on January 26, 2008 at Sandy Point State Park. Registration begins at 9am, first plunge at noon, and second plunge at 3pm. The MSP Plunge is much more than a one-day event, it is an experience that has inspired thousands to give of themselves in support of the mission of Special Olympics Maryland. The funds raised through this event are essential in helping SOMD continue to provide the benefits of its programs to all of Maryland’s citizens with intellectual disabilities.

 The 2008 MSP Plunge will underwrite the cost of a new Special Olympics initiative known as the Young Athletes Program - an innovative "play" program for children aged 2-7 that focuses on early intervention in the development of critical physical skills. By taking part in the MSP Plunge you are not just making this world a better place for today's SOMD athletes...you are also helping to ensure a brighter tomorrow for thousands of infants and young children with intellectual disabilities. |

Admission is free for Plungers and spectators alike.
