Since 2007, Take One has been an integral part of the viral marketing of Special Olympics Maryland’s Polar Bear Plunge. On top of redesigning their Web site, intranet, and producing various web-series, Take One produced the SOMD 15th Anniversary Promo for wide-spread distribution on social media and PSAs airing on Comcast.
This year’s media highlights just how much the funds from Plunge Nation make a difference in the Special Olympics Maryland athletes’ lives. Our crew spent two production days in the field with the Baltimore Ravens’ QB Joe Flacco, retired Raven Mike McCrary, US Olympic skater Kimmie Meissner, the Bayhawks lacrosse team, and countless Special Olympics athletes and Plunge Nation supporters. The result…one of the most heartwarming tributes to what the Plunge is all about; coming together on this one day to make a world of change.
As the video production commenced, Take One also began designing print elements for a new Special Olympics Maryland initiative, Spirit Blooms. Spirit Blooms employs adults with intellectual disabilities, empowering them to exceed even their own expectations.
The Spirit Blooms concept is unique in that 100% of the profits from the sale of the poinsettias and wreaths benefit Special Olympics Maryland. Newly founded, the goal of the Spirit Blooms model is to employ “Athlete Entrepreneurs”, who will play a significant and meaningful role in the success of the fund-raiser. Take One is proud to be a part of this program.
Special Olympics Maryland has been teaming with Take One for many years and the relationship only grows stronger.
